Birthday Star
What happened, when you were born?
Maybe it was the year, the Berlin Wall fell or the Gulf War ended. Or it was the year Pluto was not a planet anymore or ...
Yesterday, I discovered this website that shows your Birthday Star. The light of this star was born at almost the same time you took your first breath.
The principle is simple: The next closest star is 4.24 light years away, its name is Proxima Centauri. That means, when you turned 4.24 years (which is about 4 years and 88 days), the light you would have seen from this star was born at the exact same day as you did. It's a view in the past.
This means, your Birthday Star will change over time.
My current Birthday Star is χ (Chi) Bootis.
